Our mission at WDR is to provide hope for men, women, and families to overcome drug and alcohol addiction and become productive members of society.
We are a Christian community, and a structured faith-based recovery program serving individuals from all walks of life, including veterans, those that are or have been unhoused, those facing or exiting incarceration and victims of abuse. We strive to help anyone who needs a hand up with our family-style support system.
Graduation from our program requires 12 months of consecutive sobriety and completion of specified classes and goals as well as full-time employment.
There is a tremendous need in Wilson County, and we want to help more citizens of our community by continuing to improve and expand our program. Learn more about being a DONOR.

We Do Recover Through Christ exists to bring hope, healing, and lasting recovery to
individuals and families affected by addiction through the transformative power of Jesus
Christ, fostering a supportive family and community rooted in faith, love, and restoration.
2 Corinthians 6:3-4: We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry, in everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every
kind.

Jason Skinner, founder and CEO of We Do Recover, overcame a long personal struggle with addiction before committing his life to God and dedicating himself to serving others. His recovery inspired the creation of a Christ-centered residential program that combines spiritual formation with practical support for men and women seeking lasting restoration.
What began as a six‑bed initiative has grown into a comprehensive ministry with more than 90 beds, expanded services, and a multidisciplinary approach to care. Under Jason’s leadership, the organization has maintained a steadfast commitment to holistic recovery—spiritual, emotional, and vocational—and attributes its growth and impact to providential guidance and faithful stewardship.

Our program is a 12-month, faith-based discipleship and recovery program designed to guide individuals toward lasting transformation through Christ-centered support. We provide structured housing for both men and women, offering a safe and nurturing environment where healing, growth, and spiritual renewal can flourish.
Our approach focuses on inner healing from deep-rooted issues often at the core of addiction. Through Biblical studies, Christian counseling, worship, and recovery classes, residents begin a journey of restoration—overcoming life’s struggles, breaking free from bondage, and confronting life-controlling challenges.
In addition to housing, we offer transportation services for job placement, daily commutes, church attendance, and in-house recovery meetings. We also collaborate with each resident’s healthcare providers to support their spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.
At We Do Recover, we are more than transitional housing—we are a family united by faith, compassion, and purpose. Our mission is to help each resident develop the character, confidence, and life skills needed to become a productive member of society, empowered by the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

Our program delivers a structured in-house curriculum to support spiritual formation, personal transformation, and practical life skills, including...

1 Corinthians 13:13, But the greatest of these is LOVE.
While on their individual journeys, our residents know that they are deeply loved. Our visitors from outside of the program say they feel the overwhelming love by simply stepping onto our property. One of our favorite sayings at We Do Recover Through Christ is simply "I love you and there is nothing you can do about it".
Our residents have a large team surrounding them, loving them, praying for them, encouraging them and walking alongside them through this journey. And it is an honor and great privilege to love and do life with each of our residents. What an awesome gift from God.
Oh yes, we love you too!

The staff and volunteers are fully committed to helping residents rebuild every aspect of their lives. We stand alongside our residents as a unified team, recognizing that God has given each of us unique gifts to contribute to every individual’s journey. We believe in mutual responsibility and community, and it is an honor to do life together as we support and uplift one another.
